
Situated at Padagiri, The Whistling Thrush bungalow offers a serene setting amidst a plantation of Coffee, Cardamom, Pepper and Vanilla aptly named after the Thrush that wakes you up early in the morning inviting you to have a cup of Garden fresh tea from the neighboring Tea Estates. Taking a walk through the estate gives you an insight into work in a Plantation .
An Amazing number (about 170 varieties) of birds and animals such as the Great Indian Hornbill, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Baya Weaver Bird, Squirrels, Deer, Porcupine, Wild Boar can be spotted in the estate. Nelliampathy offers the serious and easy trekker challenging opportunities to test your skills. And if you are bold enough to brave the forest we will take you on a guided night Safari to spot a leopard or Panther.
The Bungalow is situated in the middle of 400 Acres of Cardamom and coffee plantation at an altitude of 1000m above sea level, surrounded by a reserve forest on three sides and tea plantation on the other. The plantation has its own dam and waterfall where you can take a dip in the chilly waters to wash away the tiredness of your journey.
The Bungalow has three spacious bedrooms with provision for extra beds with attached bathrooms to offer. Room service and housekeeping, laundry service is available. Sit back on the verandah reading a book while listening to the wind whistling through the trees and sounds of the birds and animals.
